Our First Few Days at Home

We are thrilled to have Jonathan home with us.  Life is getting a little easier every day and we are enjoying every minute with our beautiful little boy.  Here are a few pictures of our first few days at home.

Entering our home for the first time with Jonathan.

Checking out the rocking chair.  We have already spent many hours here!

 Hiding in the bouncer seat.

Grandma giving Jonathan his first bath.

"Mommy, look how strong I am holding my head up!"

Grandma is here with us for several days to help us get settled.  She is taking wonderful care of all of us and we are thrilled that she is here.

Andy's parents arrived on Thursday to spend the weekend with us.  They were a big help, and it was great to see them.  It's always fun when five adults are in our little house, and everyone's focused on the little guy.

Three generations of the Black men.

And a few more that I just like.

  1. Quite possibly the most precious baby I've ever seen (tied with mine, of course)!! I love - LOVE - all his hair. He's such a little person...a person who looks SO much like Andy. That notwithstanding, he is so stinking cute that it's all I can do not to hop on a plane right now and come love on that little guy (though from the looks of things, I'd have to wait in line). I am smitten - full of smit, I say! And Jen, you look beautiful. It's not fair - aren't you supposed to be looking haggard, not radiant? However, I do have to protest: you are not allowed to appear in full makeup yet. Giving birth to a human buys you at least a few more weeks of cosmetic-free time. Always the overachiever...

  2. I don't see anything but joy and happiness in these pictures! He has answered our prayers - each and every one!! You got pregnant, carried a full-term baby, and are now a mother to a precious son. Our God is GREATER!!
Can't wait to hug your neck and meet sweet J soon!!
