5 Months

Jonathan is 5 months old!  I know every parent feels this way, but I really can't believe that he is already 5 months.  He is at a really fun age and is smiling and laughing all the time (well ..... make that most of the time, Andy says). He weighs just a little over 16 pounds and he is now rolling over regularly from his stomach to his back.  He loves sitting up (with help) and also wants to stand up on our laps all the time.

The biggest new development from this past month is that he is getting his first two teeth.  The bottom two middle teeth are poking out a little.  So far we have only had one rough night because of teething where we were up in the middle of the night for a few hours.  Besides that, he is doing pretty good.  He just drools like a faucet.  :-)  Sleeping could definitely be better as the little guy still gets me up 3, sometimes 4 times a night, but I just try not to think about it too much and I tell myself often that it can't last forever.

This is a newborn shot.  Hasn't he grown a lot in five months?

These next few pictures are from our 5 month photo shoot.  I decided to do this month's pictures myself instead of taking him to a studio.  I transformed our bedroom into a studio of our own, and I think they turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.  :)

Here are some of my favorite shots from this month.  Sorry there are so many, I had a hard time deciding.

I love his crazy eyes in this shot.

This is a common scene these days.  Jonathan is constantly chewing on his hands while working on getting those two teeth in.

Like father, like son.

Grandma gave Jonathan this bear.  I am trying to make it his favorite toy to help with sleeping, so he has it often.

Thanks for checking in!

Being at Home

I am extremely lucky these days to be able to be at home two days a week with my boy.  I feel so grateful to be part-time and love everyday that I get to be at home with Jonathan.  Being home definitely requires sacrifices from both Andy and I, but I think it is totally worth it.

We are always happy to see Daddy at the end of the day, but Jonathan and I have a great time while we are alone.  Here are a few pictures from our recent days together.
