Micah is 1

Micah is such a joy and our little happy boy.  He is extremely smiley but can have quite a temper when someone does something he doesn't like or when someone takes something from him.  He is busy and into everything and and puts anything and everything that will fit into his mouth.  At one he is crawling everywhere and cruising along the furniture.

Micah is now about  20 pounds 6 ounces (25%), and 29 in. tall (25%).  Eating is not his favorite thing, but right around one he started taking more to baby food.  He still loves to nurse with Mama all day and night.  Bath time is one of his favorite times of the day (until he has to get out of the tub), especially if we let him do "brother bath" with Jonathan.  They have to be watched very closely, but they usually splash and laugh the entire time.  Jonathan can make Micah laugh better then anyone.  They have great fun playing and wrestling and Jonathan is always thrilled when he can get a laugh out of his little brother.

Our smiley boy Micah...Jonathan has even started calling him that.

Andy's birthday.

In June we made a trip to Mississippi to see Mamaw and the rest of Andy's family.  We had a wonderful time with all of Andy's family and we appreciated the wonderful hospitality we received from Aunt Diane and Uncle Cecil.

We had two different birthday parties for Micah.  One in Midwest City with Andy's family and one in Amarillo with my family.

Midwest City

Micah loved his chocolate cupcake!

We were trying to get pictures of Micah with all of the family.  He overly tired by this point in the evening, so he wasn't the happiest camper.

Amarillo

Aunt Janice actually braved coming to visit with our entire family in the house.  We were so glad she was there.

And finally, a picture of my boys in diapers.  Aren't they cute?!!

Micah is (was) 11 Months

Micah turned 11 months on June 2nd.  (Yes, I am extremely behind, but we have been a little busy this summer!)  At 11 months Micah weighed about 20 pounds.  He was slowly crawling and pulling up on all of the furniture and starting to cruise along it a little.  He was as smiley as ever and into everything.  He really wants to touch (and put everything in his mouth!).  He has quite the little temper if something doesn't go his way (like his brother taking a toy away.)  He wasn't really eating much but we kept trying every day. Some pretty big events took place this month in our family.  For Micah the biggest was that he was dedicated to the Lord and the care of the church. For the rest of us...Andy graduated!!!  I will let you read more about that below.

Graduation day. We didn't take the boys to the ceremony. For those of you that know our kids, you know why: Jonathan would have narrated the entire service for everyone around us.  :) So we took some pictures at home.

Andy's parents came in town for the festivities.

Before Micah's dedication at church.  It is next to impossible to get a picture of both of the boys sitting relatively still, looking at the camera, and smiling at the same time.

Micah with his buddy Emma.

Mother's Day with the boys!

See you soon with a one year post.

Micah is 10 Months

Here is our happy ten-month-old.  Can't believe he is only two months from being a year old!  He currently weighs 19 pounds, 14 ounces.  He is getting around where he wants to go. He is all-but crawling, but prefers to roll..  His favorite food is still Mama's milk though he occasionally enjoys yogurt or fruit. He seems to prefer food when it is his idea, so anything on a spoon isn't a big hit.  We give him puffs and he has eaten a few, but he usually just likes to play with them.  Micah's favorite activity is still watching his brother and Jonathan can get him laughing better then anyone--which often undermines Mommy and Daddy's attempts to reinforce good behavior from big brother.....especially at the table!

Micah and I spent a week in Amarillo after my mother had knee surgery:

Aunt Janice was in Amarillo for our first couple of days.  It was great to see her!

Micah and Lanie, my mom's very good friend.

Micah and Grandpa.

Micah and Grandma.  She doesn't look like she just had surgery, does she?

Micah's first time in the Nelson high chair.  This was mine (and my sister's) as a baby.

The King family bed.

Happy to be back home.

Fun at the park.
