10 Months

We can't believe that Jonathan is already 10 months old, just two months from his first birthday. He is growing up so fast, and has been blowing by the developmental milestones lately.

He now weighs just over 20 pounds .... but the biggest change this month is that he is walking!  He took his first step on August 8th, and within just a few short days he went from one or two steps to regularly taking 5 or 6 in a row.  I even counted about 15 once.  He still crawls to get around the majority of the time, but he loves taking steps and smiling at us to make sure we are watching.  We bought him a walker toy and he loves pushing it around the living room and is very proud of himself when he does.  He is also becoming less and less interested in baby food and prefers to feed himself table food.  He loves strawberries, cantaloupe, and has recently added gold fish and snack crackers to his diet.  It is really nice that at mealtimes he can basically eat what we do.

These pictures shows how active Jonathan is becoming.  He doesn't sit quietly for his monthly picture anymore.  :)

The last week of July, Andy went to a conference in Prague, Czech republic. Mama and Aunt Janice came to Dayton to help me with the little guy. We had a great time, and Jonathan enjoyed his Grandma and Great-Aunt.

Here we are out to dinner for my birthday.

A day-trip to Waynesville . . .

Jonathan missed Daddy while he was gone, and Daddy missed him, too!

Dinner time!  Eating Grandma's specialty (Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes, Carrots, and Mac & Cheese!)

See you next time!

9 Months Part 2

Our final trip of the summer was to Branson to see Andy's family.  We had a great time, and it was a lot of fun seeing Jonathan together with his two cousins, Adam and Jack.

Uncle Jason and Jack driving a race car .  . .

Aunt Sara and Mimi Sue:

Adam is such a big young man now . . . .

Riding the famous Branson "Ducks" . . .

We'll be seeing these three together for years to come . . . .
